Some are saying that it's part of a larger predatory system in the music industry. As he came into prominence, Tupac got into relationships with several women. He had even been married at one point. Despite this, many still maintain that Tupac was gay. Some have even made the argument that his gangster persona was simply a character he played as he was trained in acting.
